SUPPORT THE GRANT

There are more displaced people and refugees today than at any other time in recorded history, and they are on the move in numbers not seen since WWII. Viesulas’ art reminds us of the human aspirations of autonomy, self-determination, and freedom of expression. Fundraising is under way to create a grant - a ‘diploma for displaced persons’ - to help artists who have lost their country, their home or their voice. Viesulas' legacy can inspire and enable other artists - those exiled by war, ideology, natural disaster or injustice - to reailze their vision.  See the CENTENARY GRANT page for more detail.
